43 – Tanart Sathienthirakul

Thai Tanart Sathienthirakul started his racing career in karting in 2002.
Ten year old Tanart was instantly hooked on the speed excitement of motorsport. He won the UBC Junior Kart Championship, and raced also in Malaysia.
The following year he was runner-up in the Thai National Yamaha Kart Championship, then won the Yamaha class outright in 2004 and 2005, adding trips to race in Europe to his busy schedule.
The 2006 year brought a seventh in the Rok International final in Italy, third in 125cc at Macau and runner-up in the Intercon A Thai National Championship.
A year later he was sixth at the Rok International, won the 125cc class at Macau and took the national title in the Intercon championship.
In 2008 racing in Japan brought top results: Junior Rotax Max Challenge winner, 9th in CIK-FIA World Cup for KF2 class in Japan and the Thai KF2 title.
Tanart raced KF2 and Rotax Max in Europe in 2009, his best result sixth in the Belgian Rotax Max championship; while he once more took out the KF2 class in the Thai national championship.
A busy and successful 2010 saw Tanart race KF2, KF1 and Rotax Max, winning the CIK-FIA U-18 championship title in France, finishing runner-up in Japan’s Rotaz Max Winter Cup and sixth overall at the KF! Kart event at Macau.
In 2011 Tanart raced in Europe and Japan, with best results of fifth overall in KF2 in the WSK Euro Series.
For the 2012 TRS season he will join the M2 Competition team run by ex A1GP Team NZ engineers Mark Pilcher and Jonathan Moury.
